Q: Why didn’t I get my Market Maker yet?
A: There are a number of variables with an EDDM route that is factored into why one particular home did not receive a mailed piece that we are unable to control. These variables include an overlook by the recipient because it was lumped in with other larger mailers or often an error made by the postal carrier because these pieces do not carry specific addresses and the carrier has to personally remember to stick one piece in each mailbox on his route.
Q: When will my Market Maker be delivered?
A: EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail) is inexpensive, however not precise. When a mail carrier goes out on a route, there is a maximum weight limit his/her bag can be. If this weight limit is not met, the carrier will add one or more bundles (1-50 individual pieces of mail per bundle) to his/her bag. The mail carrier will place one piece of mail from each unique bundle of EDDM into each individual mail box. Stacks of EDDM can sit around for awhile if there is more “important” mail being sent. EDDM is good for area saturation, but it is not a guaranteed precise delivery. Depending on the route, every house might get a piece or some might be left out. It’s all simply the luck of the draw.
